I've heard some whisperings of a New Year's party but it would probably be not as grand. I mean, some guys like Von Skleeve gave out over half a mil, and i dont think he plans on that being a weekly occurance.

I went for a hot sec, as I could not be on that long. It was crazy as hell. The moment I zoned in I was bombarded with trade requests. And people were just being outright rude. Christmas spirit my arse. I really wonder how much of the free loot wound up back for sale in LA. Anyways I hope the people that really needed the help and items use them in good health. And to the J/O's that were being rude, go sit and spin on a fat one.

Thumbs up

Thanx a million to Gruug and Agent for the excellent run! When I opened up a trade to tip one of them, I was told "No way, not accepting tips today." What a class act that was.

Hey Laser...want to throw a brother under the bus. =P

Brut is the teach and I am the student so it only makes sense that I would shamelessly lay down my life in defense of his by taking all the chaser worms on myself. Well, that is the way I remember it. All kidding aside Brut is the man and I am happy you had some fun.

I was in Int D1 for a couple of hours yesterday and enjoyed the fun. I mostly observed but did partake of some of the festivities. I was lucky enough to win a Grognar's Blade for my W/Mo and an Obsidian Shard thanks to LBSRA members.

Just wanted to say thanks again for the generous and entertaining event by LBSRA. It was appreciated!

First of all I'd just like to say that the turnout for the festivities was amazing. I didn't realize how many people know us from guru and our own site until I saw the two filled districts... The responses and voice at these two sites are a large, yet still, a poor representative of our popularity (for better or for worse). You guys were for the most part, great. We knew some people would be flaming/whining, non-appreciative and hating. We get a lot of hate mail here (un-informed nooblings). However, I'd say 90% of the people that showed up were appreciative, respectful, and I enjoyed playing one of the many Santas that night for them.

The guild itself, I am positive, gave out well over 1-3 million gold worth of stuff. I myself gave, roughly, 400k's worth. This was about 75% of my wealth at the moment. Don't get me wrong, I'm among the rich dudes of guildwars, but certainly not the richest. I spend a lot

Although we did give away tons of loot and cash at the whim of a trade window, I'd say the main prize was our running services. For those of you that don't know, the price for a party to go for Droknar's with us is 30k. We had runners relaying back and forth between Beacon's and Forge all night. I myself, coupled with dual runners for Lornars, got 35 people to the Forge. I'd estimate we got 100-200 people to the Forge that night amongst all of us. Some of us were also running to the Desert as well. I took one group to Augury.

Money won is better than money earned as the saying goes. I hosted two sessions of LBS Trivia at Beacon's for the night. The first one was foolishly done at the American Districts. I was feeling kind of down when I was asking what I thought to be "common LBS knowledge" questions, and people then answered with "What's LBS?". I winced and continued to finish the game, not realizing I was in the wrong districts until 10mins after it was over lol.

I gave the first winner 45plat, 5 ecto, and Rare/Max Aegis req10 +42hps while enchanted. It was a close game. We had a three way tie at the end, and had to enter into SUDDEN DEATH MODE. Let me tell you folks, that is no relaxed mode, and the contestants can testify.

The second game of trivia was hosted where it belonged, in the announced International Districts. A wave of relief came over as no one gave me any "what is lbs" crap :P. There were many participants in this game. Oddly enough there was another 3 way tie for this one too. How it worked was:
Everyone who got a question correct earned a point. The person with the most points at the end of the game wins the grand prize. Most, if not all I believe, were rewarded something for just answering 1-2 questions correctly by Hanso Togakure. The three that tied had 3 questions answered correctly each. You know what that means...another SUDDEN DEATH MODE. I enjoyed watching these guys sweat .

There was essentially one 1st place winner and the other 2 tied for second. We kind of mixed and matched the prizes up. The grand prize was originally an ascension run, but the winner didn't have any characters that needed or would need heh. So we're in the process of giving the ascension run to the lvl 10 winner, and Hanso gave a perfect +30hp sword pommel to the other 2nd place winner. The 1st place winner got the value of an ascension run from Beacon's (8 ectos).

Overall I think most everybody loved the event. Even us slave-driving Santas at LBS. I think my new random FAQ now is "can/how can I join the clan?" So just remember the doors to LBS will be re-opening come January 1st. Expect more thorough screening. We will essentially get to know everyone wishing to enter this guild thoroughly before letting anyone in from here on out. I look forward to the next LBS hosted event, but not anytime soon . This isn't something we can do on a regular basis. As I said, I myself, and many others gave away a large sum of what we had. Five+ hours of running also gets tiring hehe.

I will conclude with a screenshot of some of my personal give-aways, and the appreciation received. This is just a little taste of all the praise LBS and myself specifically received. It's also not everything I gave out. I know there are skeptics/haters still out there--this is for them. If you want more screenshots, we have them

My personal contributions included A LOT of running. I enjoyed every second of it, especially with the group I took from Beacs->La->ToA->Sanctum->Everywhere in the Desert. That was a fun long run, cause one went AFK for a while so there was no zoneing back to augury. It was a nice fun lap around the desert. I had a blast and really hope that everyone else did too. As Mason said we will be reopening admissions in the new year, so if your interested in LBSRA head over to LBSRA.net.
